“WHAT WE BUILT IN BECAL, MEXICO”

The following picture album represents the recent Youth Mission Trip June 27- July 5, 2000 which was sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury, New Jersey of Monmouth Presbytery.  For the sixth year the Cranbury Church sent a group of high school students and adults to the Yucatan and Campeche states of Mexico.  There they worked along the Mayan people of Mexico in construction of churches and camp for the people of Mexico.
This summer days were spent in construction of Campamento Tumben Cuxtal (New Life in Mayan), afternoons in siestas, evenings conducting Vacation Bible School for the children and then attending services at the Iglesia Getsemani church in Becal. The group toured the Mayan ruines Uxmal and walked about the Great Pyramid, Palace of the Governor and the never to be forgotten House of the Tortoises.
The group this year represent four Presbyterian churches.  Those youth and adults attending were
Mitch Bayles, Jason Blackburn, Jennifer Brown, Daniel and Jean Buckley, Jamie Dickerson, Mark Hughes, Chris and Edwin Liu, Alyssa Mann, Daniel Morse, Kari Ornberg, Heather Quinn, Sara Sievers, Eliot and Judy Wright.

WE ARE LEAVING OUT WORLD, TO SEE YOUR WORLD.  SO THAT WE CAN SEE OUR WORLD IN A NEW WAY.
