In 1995 3DL conquered the America's Cup, with both finalists carrying complete North 3DL working inventories. Now, North introduces REGATTA 3DL, designed to deliver the low stretch, extended wind range and outstanding durability of 3DL to a broader segment of the racing market at a very competitive price. Manufactured using the same mold designs as North's GRAND PRIX 3DL sails, REGATTA 3DL features thicker films for increased abrasion and UV resistance, larger filament clusters and efficient yarn layouts. The result is an unmatched combination of performance and value, with fewer headsails in an inventory and fewer sail changes out on the race course. Regatta 3DL is available in both aramid and polyester versions.
