CLOTH SELECTION: North spinnakers are available in two lightweight cloth types, polyester and nylon. Polyesters stretch less for their weight, especially when wet, and are often used in flatter water. Nylon fabrics are stronger when shock loaded and often used in rougher water. Polyesters tend to last longer than Nylon styles, but are not as resistant to tearing.
