Israeli-born scholar, Dr. Jonathan Cohen, directs the Hebrew Union College - University of Cincinnati Center for the Study of Contemporary Moral Problems. An assistant professor of Talmud and Halachic literature, he teaches accredited joint courses offered to HUC-JIR and UC College of Law students. Following his Israeli military service, he earned his L.L.B. (Honors) degree from the University of Kent in Canterbury. At the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies, he was the first David Patterson Junior Fellow in Jewish Law. He received his Ph.D. in Law from the University of Liverpool.
