Position: Senior Applications Architect
4/95 - Responsible for the design coding and maintenace of an on-line claims
processing system using CICS, COBOL II, VSAM, and DB2 in the
MVS environment. This system featured both LU 6.2 and MRO
communication functions in a multi-region processing environment.
I specifically worked on the Drug Utilization Review (DUR) project
which integrated Mail processing claims with POS processing claims,
to insure FDA compliance and clinical editing for drug claims. This
system used an internal Client/Server architecture using rules engine
processing features.
DOW JONES/TELERATE
Position: Senior Programmer Analyst
5/ 93 - Responsible for design, implementation, and maintenance for an on-line
10/94 Billing system utilizing CICS, COBOL, VSAM, and DB2. First call
on all production problems and enhancements. Project Leader for major
enhancement: Moving from VSAM to DB2 architecture including
writing program specs and supervising junior programmers. Redesigned
on-line screens for compliance with IBM CUA/SAA guidelines.
HERMANS SPORTING GOODS
Position: Senior Programmer Analyst
12/88 - Responsible for all phases of applications development from project
5/93 inception to installation. Project Leader on several successful projects
including Distribution, Warehousing, Traffic, and Financial Applications.
All work is accomplished utilizing COBOL and CICS on an IBM 3090
under OS/MVS. Worked on several financial application areas namely
Accounts Payable, Sales Audit, and Cash Management. Designed,
coded, and tested a new Accounts Payable Drop Shipment system;
System included downloading of information to NCR Registers and
uploading information to interface with newly designed on-line accounting
and perpetual inventory system. Responsible for designing, coding and
testing Sales Audit Draft Capture system to transmit Credit Card data via
TALCS to major credit card bank accounts. Create, design, and test Cash
Management System which included transmitting the day’s cash and check
receipts (with hold) to NatWest bank.

2/88 - Client: National Starch & Chemical
12/88 Worked on a 9 month project to implement an Inventory Control system.
Responsible for coding and testing both on-line and batch COBOL programs.
DUN & BRADSTREET
Position: Programmer/Analyst
10/85 - Worked in the Duns Financial Profile department.
2/88 Responsibilities included maintaining and enhancing financial IDMS
databases that were used to provide financial profiles on selected
companies. Trained in CICS and placed on an on-line project that
used On-Line Software’s FREESTYLE product and involved
retrieving data and producing financial reports for D & B customers.
