Library & Archives
General Information
Open Wednesdays through Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The
Library & Archives is closed Sundays through
Tuesdays and major holidays. The Library closes for its annual
inventory the first two weeks of February. It resumes its regular
hours the following Wednesday. If you traveling from afar,
please call in advance to make sure we will be open when you
visit.
During the winter months, the MCHA follows the Freehold Borough Schools regarding closings/delays due to snow. Please check Radio 101.5's website (Storm Closings) before heading out! Or call the MCHA (732) 462-1466.
The Library & Archives will be closed the
following days:
Saturday, December 23 and Monday and Tuesday, December 25 and 26, 2006
Wednesday, January 31 through Tuesday, February 13, 2007 (Library & Archives is closed. Museum will be open.)

Access to the Library & Archives is free to MCHA members.
Non-members pay a $2.00 fee for use of the Library & Archives
and entrance to the Museum's exhibitions.
A photocopy machine and a microfilm/fiche reader/printer are
available. Copies are 35 cents each.
The Library provides fee-for-service genealogical research at
$25.00/hour, including postage and photocopies. The search is
conducted only within the collections at the MCHA and may or
may not result in findings. If you are interested, please send
a letter stating exactly who/what you are looking for, just enough
information to get the researcher started, and a check for $25
per family name (made payable to MCHA). Send this to Ms. Jane R. Peck, Genealogical
