Interesting Tidbits


The Battle of Monmouth was the longest battle of the Revolutionary War.

The first cereal boxes in the U.S. came from the North American Phalanx, a 19th century utopian society in Monmouth County.

The oldest standing lighthouse in the Western Hemisphere is on Sandy Hook. It was the third one constructed.

Many notable personalities were born, lived, and currently live in Monmouth County.
