INTRODUCTION
The Carr, Martin and Davis Collection is primarily a family photographic
collection, summarizing the emigration and eventual assimilation into American
culture. There is some genealogical material.
The Carr family migrated to Brooklyn from Harewell Hall, near Pateley
Bridge, Yorkshire, England in 1850.
