Counting Crows Guestbook

Thank you for visiting my Counting Crows pages. I love to get feedback from people, and I would really love to share it with everybody. But since I am too busy right now to put up all the email forms I get, I figured an automated CGI script would do the trick...please add to my guestbook!
I LOVE THEM. YOU KNOW

Where did you here that the Counting Crows were going to release "Good Luck" on a movie soundtrack. That would be really cool because it is a great song, along with "Chelsea". Well I just wanted to know.Do you have any bootlegs with new songs such as "Barely Out Of Tuesday" on them. I saw them in Dallas and in Austin. both shows were excelent.

"I walk out on the wire once again"-seems to be my life story. By the July 14th I will have gone to 5 shows this year. I saw them in Milwaukee and Minneapolis. I have tickets for the Detriot show in July and I'm getting tickets for the Summerfest show in Milwaukee along with the show in Holmdel%2cNJ. I just can't get enough of them. Their music is the heart and soul of my life. Meeting Adam for the first time was like meeting the president or something. I was so speechless. I can't wait for Adam to come out and sing Sixth Avenue Hardache with Jacob. "I wanna be Jacob Dylan"-he said that at the Mil. show.

Saw the Counting Crows at the 9:30 club in Washington D.C. the day before Thanksgiving. +Haven't been to a concert in years, but the Counting Crows are my favorite. +The concert was great. +The band had a lot of family there. Adam has a great stage presence and I was not disappointed. +They did not sing Mr. Jones, but played alot of the new cd, which I love. +They performed with Cake, who I was also impressed with. They are still my favorite. +

The 6 hour drive to Denver CO from Albuquerque NM was well worth it. I sat in the 11th row and waited for the opening act to finish, while I was sitting there Adam Duritz was sitting 4 rows from where I was dancing and laughing. I walked down and shook his hand, that was the highlight of my life!!!!

I was at Northrop on March 19th. +It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. +My friend and I drove four hours without tickets and I had thrown up the whole night before. +it was well worth the sacrifice because we ended up getting tickets. +we had crappy seats, but it was utterly AMAZING. +Round Here with part of Barely Out Of Tuesday was unbelievable. +And Mr. Jones was purely BEAUTIFUL. +A Murder of One was so powerful. +It was the last song before the encore. my friend and i plan on following cc this summer. +they are such talentd people. +i would absolutely love to meet them. +they have reached me in a way tha no other music has been able to. thanks.

I saw them at the Beacon Theater, at the show that Adam hurt himself, it was the second song in the set (angles of the silences) and he went down, I think he tripped over a wire or somthing but he laid there for a minute then he hobbled off stage. +while he was gone the band played wise Blood and after the song ended Adam came back and sat on a speaker for the rest of the show. +It was a great show, and I can't wait to see them come around again.

Naturally, I saw them in Columbus. (Fiona Apple opened).Definitely one of the, if not THE, best experience of my life (thus far). +I had the amazing adventure of meeting the band. +First, I found out what hotel they were staying at and my brother and I went there in the mid afternoon. +Right after we parked out in front, my brother said,"Hey there's Dan Vickrey." +I thought he was joking, till I turned and saw Dan Vickrey, who was standing there casually smoking a cigarette. +I went up and talked to him and had him sign my vinyl. I had forgot my GUITAR Magazine, or I'd have asked him to sign it too. +One by one, each member of the band came out and got on the bus in the next half hour, except Adam. +I asked each (in one way or another) to sign my record and each member, graciously, did. + I talked to Ben Mize a fair amount, asked him about his work for Cracker and @ the 40-Watt Club and other stuff. Finally, +Adam came out with the manager and he was talking on a cell-phone. +I wanted to meet/talk to him, but I couldn't just interupt him. So he got on the bus and they left. You can imagine my feeling then. I did convince my brother that we should follow them to the venue, though the last thing we wanted to be was a nuissance. +When we got there, everyone had gone inside but Adam. We waited and waited. Then he walked out. +First thing, he said he was sorry for ignoring us "back there". I was dumbstruck. It wasn't as if he had to talk apoligize (or talk to us, for that matter). I asked him +all I could think of at the time, which wasn't much. Since then I've thought of a million things I'd wished I'd said. When he saw my camera, he said "sorry, no pictures." He explained that he hated pictures and that he could sign a million autographs, but he couldn't do something he hated that many times. I understood. After 5-10 minutes, he had to leave for soundcheck. The concert itself was amazing. I had 10th row seats, but I went to the first and stayed there after the first three or so songs.Great show. Sorry, this is so long. I have an actual setlist, but not with me. I was also able to get a drum stick (yahoo!).

The counting crows are the greatest band. I saw them in Berkeley at the Greek theatre, and they rocked. The place was packed (why shouldn't it have been?). They opened with Recovering the Satellites, which set the tone for a great night (the opening band, however, the Ben Folds Five, was not so enthralling...)

I went to the March 17th concert in Indianapolis at the Murat Temple. +It was the greatest night of my life, to date. Engine 88 opened, then when it was time for them to come on California Dreamin' by the Mama's and the Papa's came blaring over the sound system. +The first song they sang was Recovering the Satellites, which is my favorite song. +Adam didn't talk all that much. +Dave gave away one of his picks. +Mercury sounded awesome. +Everything was very intense and emotional and beautiful The last song they sang was Murder of one, which is my favorite off of August. +Then we clapped for what seemed like forever before they came out for the encore. +In the encore they played Round Here, which was very long with and added part in the middle. +It was very sad and he talked about "leaving the light on for him," +and," look at the moon." +They they played Monkey He talked a little about that one. +Then they played A Long December." +It sounded great. +Then very last they played Wallaways. +Then there was a standing ovation and Adam shook hands with everyone in the front row. +Ben Mize wore an Engine 88 shirt. +In "ROund Here" +when he sings," She walks along the edge of where the ocean meet the land just like she's walkin' on a wire in the circus." +He walked on the edge of one of the front speakers. +It was the best night of my life. +Someone told me he was walking around the parking lot before the concert, but I missed it because we had to go out to eat. +I didn't eat a thing because I was so excited. More than anything I would love to meet them.

I went to a November 26th concert in Toronto. Adam is truly an amazing, talented, unique + (and may I add) incredibly good looking guy! I could go on about his greatness and about how much the concert rocked and how it was the best time of my whole life, but then I'd ramble. To the point: *Does anyone know if there is an existing Adam Duritz Fan Club. I was toying with the idea and recently wrote to the Crows for permission to strart one. However, if there already is one,( in U.S.A. or Canada) I'd love to be part of it!" Can someone please help me?

Outstanding concert. +Perfect setting at the Paramount Theater downtown Seattle - not too big, just the right number of people. Great opening band. I was most impressed that they stick to music. +There is no fluff, no light shows, no wierd stage acts. +Just Adam, the band, and the music. +Definately the most quality concert I've ever been to. Another impression, Adam is exactly himself no matter what he is doing. +He is the same in the video, in concert, in his every day life! Had tickets for Portland show the following night but it was postponed. Sad.

Never have you heard a better performance of "Round Here" than on Feb. 14 in Charlotte. +Magical. Pure poetry it was... pure poetry. To my friend and I's despair, they didn't play Raining In Baltimore. +Well, what did we do? +The only possible thing that we could do...We stayed in our seats...sat there...hesitant at first...then started softly caroling the song right there where we sat. +Our performance (well actually my performance-my friend didn't really sing) had something to be desired, I realize but you do what you can for happiness. + + + + + + +Counting Crows are the best. + + + + + + + + + + + + +jer

I went to see Counting Crows in Norfolk when they came to Virginia. +The concert sold out in 20 min. and I was lucky enough to get two tickets, but they were box seats. +My friend was complaining of how thirsty she was and she talked me into going to the consession stand to get something to drink. +Since we had arrived so early I didn't see any harm in it. +When returning to our seats, there was a crowd of teenagers around our age standing next to our seats. +I didn't want to be rude but I told them nicely that they had to move. +Just then a member of their crew came and offered us front row seats. +I was so excited that three of my friends that had floor seats heard me scream and thought something was wrong. +I've been to many concerts, but I have to say that this concert was by far the best one that I have ever seen. +This isn't just because I got front row seats, but the fact that there weren't a truck load of big body guards, and I was practically on stage I heard the music for every thing it was and it + was awesume. +I would give any thing to see them again. +When Adam sang Omaha, which happens to be my favorite song, he was siting directly infront of me. +One of my friends that was about 15 rows behind +me said that he could see me when they shown the spot light on Adam. +My friend and I got to shake his hand, and we caught the drumstick. +I still have it. +Adam sang a slightly different version of Round Here, and it was good. +I didn't get the meaning of it untill the way home when my friend told me what it meant, and that made me like it even more. +I suggest that everyone should go see them live. +THERE GREAT! +Fionna Apple opened for them and she rocked! +I went right out and bought her C.D.

I went to the February 19th concert in Louisville, Kentucky. +I sat in awe the whole time. +Adam just had his knee surgery and he was still dancing like he usually does. +He seemed a bit mad though. +I think it was because the crowd wasn't to nice to Fiona Apple(she rocks by the way). +While she was playing they were screaming and yelling. +Acting like the young lady she is, she took it very well. +She joked about it with the audience, but seemed a bit mad too. I was a little disappointed. +They didn't play a lot of songs, but I was more impressed than I was disappointed. +They played all of their fast songs, and it surprised me when they played "Mr. Jones" slow and soft. +I loved it though. Over all, the concert was a total blast and I am waiting for them to come back.

I attended the Counting Crows concert in Dallas on January 25th and I was thouroghly shocked when the entire band came out afterwards and signed autographs for those who were waiting. +Hospitality like that is just not found that often among bands who have reached their level of success. + I have been a fan ever since my junior year in high school after I was introduced to the song "Anna Begins" by my friend Courtney who had just moved from San Francisco. +I absolutely love the lyrics in all of the songs. +It's nice to hear lyrics that actually have meaning as opposed to most of the other bands who are out there today. + If you visit my webpage it is nothing special--I had to do it for a my computer class. +Oh, and I stole your "she sees shooting stars thing" sorry. +

To whom it may concern, I, and about 12,000 of my closest friends, have been waiting for over 2 years for an Australian tour for the Counting Crows to be announced. There were some roumors around August(95) and everything after that seemed to collapse. Who can I contact to find out when this event will happen or what I, and my friends, have to do to make it happen. With the second album out and singles starting to chart here, timing is perfect (hint, hint). Any response is appreciated. Thank you. David.

I went to the late February/early March Crows Concert at the Patriot Center on the George Mason Campus near Washington, DC. +It was a terrific show, especially because they surprised us by singing "Omaha", which I had heard they didn't do much in concert. +A few people sitting next to us taught me something about the Crows though. +If you aren't really into the music, don't go to the concert. +The band does nothing to "get the crowd into the show", for example, clapping hands, singing along, etc. +Since my boyfriend and I enjoyed the music so much, we had a great time, but there were quite a few people around us who seemed bored, as if they had heard "Mr. Jones" on the radio a few times and didn't know much more about the band. +Another interesting note about the concert is that "Time and Time Again" was great, which surprised me since it's not one of my favorites from "August". +I can't wait till they come back to this area.

I went to Chicago to see them. +I have been waiting since my sophomore year of high school and it finally happened. +It was a religious experience. :) +I went 3/10 at Aragon Ballroom. +The rendition of Mr. Jones was absolutely heart-wrenching. +It was so beautiful. +Please if anyone recorded that night I'd love to know. +An incredible show!

I saw two shows in a matter of two days. I guess you could call me a CC junky but hey there music is my life. I've waited 3 years to see these guys live and I made the most of where I live to see them. The show at Northrup was good but I sat like 10 rows from the top and that aud. is horrible. Too big. Meeting and talk to Adam and Matt made up for the bad seats. I gave Adam a gift that I worked really hard on, a term paper that I wrote on them, in exchange for autograph and a handshake. He is so friendly and shy and compassionate. The show at the Riverside in Milwaukee was thee absolute best. The sound was great and I was third row. Adam was really into it. He talked alot to the crowd. I got to meet the band before and after the concert in Mil. They signed my t-shirt and they were very generous enough to talk outside by there bus. I loved talking to Matt, he was so cool. Meeting these guys and seeing them in concert was like a dream. I was on cloud nine the whole two days. I was neverous meeting them and there music just made me cry because I was so happy to finally hear them sing songs that got me through life. "Anna Begins" and "Murder One" brought tears to my eyes just because there such emotional songs. "Recovering the Satellites" started off both concerts but to me that's the most meaningful song on there whole new album. It sums up everything. All I can say is "Wow, truly amazing". You have to see there show. Adam is a pure lyrical genious and a gentlemen. Thanks, Counting Crows for making these last two days the best days of my life. Driving 500 miles in total was well worth it. I suffering from post-CC concert depression but meeting you guys and talking to you made one part of my life complete now. Thanks

It's a big decision what concert to take your kids to first ~ five years ago I took my daughter to see Indigo Girls (she was 12) at a wonderful concert hall in Raleigh, NC. +It was a good place to begin....... +On February 16 this year I took my 12 year old son to his first show ~ Counting Crows in Norfolk Virginia, again at a concert hall... +Early in the afternoon we met Adam and Ben on the harbourfront ~ he was gracious and kind ~ as I expected him to be. +What a gift ~ his music........ If you're out there Adam ~ thank you.

I saw them at a theatre in Tampa, FL. I got there 4 hours before the show started with friends. We saw Matt coming in to the backstage entrance, and talked to him for a while. About 5 minutes later, Adam came out to meet us and we had conversation. It was beautiful. This is truly an inspirational band, one that will never leave my mind...and heart. +Adam has written the most brilliant of songs in his career as a singer/songwriter. Songs like Anna Begins, Goodnight Elizabeth, Chelsea, and Raining in Baltimore make us, as fans, think and understand what it is like to be.......human, almost.

I was at the concert in chicago, at the Aragon Ballroom, and it was amazing. I saw them about three and a half years ago when they played at, i think it was the Riveria in Chicago, and that was kick ass. I think Adam has matured a little more and been more happy. You can see it in his new songs, but I still love his old stuff. I would and still do listen to all of them because some are so peaceful, and it seems that all his problems are your problems. Somewhat like therapy, he is reaching out in his lyrics to people who want to hear. I love him for that because I write a lot of poetry that i have wrote into songs. In my opinion he is the greatest songwriter that has ever lived, I mean his music and lyrics blow me away, all I do is listen over and over. I get frustrated when people are like, yeah Counting Crows, A long December rocks!!! +Yes it does, but they don't understand him because they haven't heard his first Cd. If you have you appreciate his somewhat happiness that you rarely see in his first album. In my opinion heis happier then what he was before, but when ever I'm depressed I flip on August and Everything After and just sit in the dark and let the music and lyrics sink into my soul...All I can say Adam is you are doing a great job, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise...

unbelievable. +i loved how they played the songs differently than on the CD's and how you never knew when adam was going to belt out. +i was in awe when charlie played the harmonica- it was beautiful. +i liked the slow version of mr. jones, but i wish they would have rocked it up a little. +i almost cried when they played 'anna begins', since that's my fav. song. +i was also happy they played omaha, sullivan street, and murder of one- +i wish they would have done round here though. one of the best song performances was 'mercury'- +i think i could have written the lyrics to 'long december' since i go to school in green bay, wi. where winter lasts forever. + after the concert, we waited to talk to the band.. adam came out and signed his autograph for all 30 people there... he was so personable that i almost forgot who he was... +i made him take one of my earrings, despite the fact that he insisted that he did not want it because he would just lose it.. im sure he thought i was just some crazy love sick 21year old...but adam if you're out there, i just wanted you to have something of mine because you've given me so much... thank you so much counting crows for a night i will never forget... i hope it happens again.... peace, love, and rock on...... jessica faye starr

I ushered for the March 19 show at Northrop Auditorium in Minneapolis. It was an awesome show, the lights were very good. +After the show Two of my friends and I went behind the building to see if we could catch Adam. +We did. +I was the first one to shake his hand, introduced myself, had him sign my fee statement for spring quarter. +I was an unforgettable night

i don't know why i am adding to this page. +there aren't even words to say about counting crows. +i attended the concert in detroit. +i didn't meet adam, but i managed to make slight eye contact, probably along with the rest of you. +i am in love with this band. +i am in love with the lyrics that have inspired each moment i exist. +i recieved a gift from dan, one that i will cherish for the rest of my life, his guittar pick. +he must give them away at each show but it fills me with happiness that in detroit he chose me. +if anyone reads this who cares, if any one can reach the members of counting crows, tell them i said thanks. +thanks for keeping me here.

I saw the Crows last night in Minneapolis and it was amazing The mix was poor at first then they finnaly got the sound balanced and Adam really performed well with such incredible emotion that one would have to see it so understand. The crowd dissappointed me a bit because they were not getting into it as much as I felt they should. I don't think the crowd knew how to react to a concert that was more emotional than rockin. After the show I had the priveledge of meeting Adam. I have to say that he is a very soft-spoken and kind guy and I hope that if I ever reach the level of fame he has I could stay as humble. Go see them if they are in your city. A true experience.

I went to the concert at Northrup Auditorium on the U of M campus. +It started out slow, but that was just because of the conservative MN crowd - afraid to really jam to the music. +After the bands first break, things got going. +Mr. Jones would have been a bigger hit at the concert if they had played the normal rendition. +Round Here got the most reaction out of the crowd. +I was hoping they would play the twelve minute live rendition on the 3 single CD. +Overall, it was a good performance.
