Over the month of November, you will be
working on your multimedia book report. The due date for this
assignment is: November 29th. On November 27th, we will have a back to school night for those who
need a good block of time to work. I will open the lab from 6:00
pm to 9:00 pm. Don't worry about dinner, we'll order pizza and soda.
|
| The assignment can be as creative as you want. Just
make sure that it is DOable in the time frame that you have. The lab will be opened for you after school, if you need extra time
or help. We will have about 5 class days to complete the assignment. Those of you
who can already make web pages, I'd appreciate any help you can give your peers.

The report is to:
- Have author, title of book, copywrite
date and publishing information
-
- Have a summary of the book, without
giving away the ending. Remember you are trying to entice others of your age to read
this book
-
- Have a list of the major
characters. With each character you are to have a physical and psychological
description. You are also to search the Internet or your magazines for pictures of people
who could represent your character. Try to keep the pictures with the same look and
feel.
-
- Cartoon or drawn characters can be
used, but then all the characters have to be cartoon or drawn characters.
-
- You are to locate reviews of your book
or author (if possible) either from online or the library. If from online you will
make a link to that site. If from the library, you will retype the reviews (long
ones can be shortened) and put it on the webpage as a link. (Remember to cite sources)
-
- You are to take important information,
settings, etc. from your book and make appropriate links. You are to rate your books on a
1 to 5 scale
-
- You are to pick a song by either tune
or lyrics that represents the mood or content of your book and find it online for
background sound.
