Students will use adjectives to describe stamps

Students know what adjectives are

Students know how to use the tools in Kid Pix

On the computer

	Students will split the screen into even parts depending on the number of stamps the teacher determines the students will describe
	Students will choose a stamp for each part of the screen
	Students will type adjectives which describe the stamps

Compound Words

Objective

Students will write and illustrate a compound word

Before using the computer

Students know what compound words are

Students know how to use the tools in Kid Pix

On the computer

	Students will choose a compound word (Students must know what stamps are available to them)
	Students will write the entire word on the screen
	Students will write the first half of the compound word, a plus sign, and the second half of the compound word
	Students will find and use stamps which represent each of the halves of the compound word and the complete compound word

Objective

Students will write, illustrate, and use homophones properly in a sentence

Before using the computer

Students know what homophones are

Students know how to use the tools in Kid Pix

On the computer

	Students will choose a set of homophones to use
	Students will split the screen in half vertically
	Students will type one of the words at the top of each half of the screen
	Students will type a sentence using the word correctly
	Students will use the stamps and drawing tools to create a picture which illustrates the sentence
