"On the rare occassions when service
was disrupted, always due to phone company circuit trouble, I was made aware of the outage
by MI technicians. They called me within moments of the problem and alerted me to the
situation before I heard anything from my endusers. The disruptions were usually minimal
in length. Total uptime for the service since installing it has been so close to 100% it's
a shame that the circuit failures ruined the perfect record."
"On the firewall side - Our Wide Area Network service company, Alltel Information
systems, was asked to add some addresses into Cisco Routers to allow for our remote users
to access the link. Alltel was concerned that a 'live' Internet connection was being
introduced into
their network. Rick contacted the Alltel network engineer and discussed how our firewall
solution on the proxy server will not allow anyone from outside past the router. Alltell
approved the project and will be working to help us get selected associates into our new
