A Host/PPP connection is a dial-up PPP (point-to-point) connection which makes your Host (PC or MAC) a node (directly connected machine) on the Internet. This connection has a dynamic IP assignment (the IP number changes each time you are connected). The software that you use with this connection is Windows or Mac based, graphical, attractive, and very easy to use. You can have multiple telnet (terminal) sessions up at once, while you are downloading files with your ftp program.
