Creating Separate Accounts in Outlook Express
In Outlook Express for Windows 95 & 98:
Click on the Tools menu,
click Accounts
Click on the Mail tab to see
the existing mail accounts
Click on Add, and select Mail
For Display Name, enter your
full name or whatever name you would like to appear on your outgoing email. Click Next
For E-mail address, enter username@monmouth.com, replacing username with your new username or
login. Click Next
Choose POP3 as the mail
server. For Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server, enter: mail.monmouth.com Click Next
For Outgoing mail (SMTP) server,
enter: smtp.monmouth.com Click Next
Click on the option, Log on using,
for POP account name, enter your username. For Password,
enter your password. **NOTE** Both username and password MUST be in
all lowercase. The username DOES NOT include the "@monmouth.com" part of your
address. Click Next
For Internet mail account name,
enter the new email address, username@monmouth.com
Click Next
For Connection Type, choose
the option, Connect using my phone line. Click Next
For Choose Modem, if your
default modem is not highlighted, choose it and then click on Next,
otherwise, just click Next
For Dial-Up Connection,
select the option, Use an existing dial-up connection. Then select your
Monmouth connection in the box. (It's probably just called Monmouth
Internet). Click Next
You're all done creating the account, just
click on Finish. This will bring you back to the Internet
Accounts window where you can click on Close. The mail for
these accounts will all go into the Inbox folder in Outlook Express.
