Telecom Field Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the full-time position of Telecom Field Technician for our Data, Classic Voice and Hosted Voice Platforms.

Monmouth Telecom, headquartered in Red Bank, NJ, is a dynamic and fast growing CLEC. We offer a complete package of voice and data solutions for small, medium and large business customers throughout the state of New Jersey.

Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills are mandatory and are the company's main priority. Field experience installing voice and data equipment is required along with basic IP/Networking and diagnostic skills.

Job Requirements

Candidate must be able to:

  • Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Work independently at a job site.
  • Possess a valid and clean New Jersey driver's license.
  • Be insurable by the company's auto insurance carrier.
  • Install customer premise wiring.
  • Minimum 2 years experience required.

Position duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Customer premise equipment installation.
  • Customer premise wiring - Cat5,6 and 25/50 pair runs.
  • Customer premise equipment diagnostics/repair
  • T1 circuit diagnostics
  • Equipment diagnostics
  • Voice diagnostics
  • Programming Hosted Voice equipment
  • On call using a rotating schedule
