There are valuable tools for your use at the websites the NJLNY District and Optimist International have set up. Become totally familiar with these sites, since they are your tools in pursuing Optimist excellence. Optimist.org and Monmouth.com/ are for all Optimists to peruse, especially for program information and in recruiting of new members. The leadership and mail sites are for Club Presidents and Officers use, for club management.

This is OI's website. It has folders/links for visitors and members. Here one can scroll through "Members," to "Clubs & Districts," to "Programs/Activities," in order to download the complete essay and oratorical kits. One can scroll from members to administration and download the club authorization of direct debit for OI dues and supplies.

- This site offers you a wealth of info on your own district. Check here for the district directory, calendar, events, pictures, links to other clubs, Camp Quality for children with cancer and the District bulletin, The Gavel. This site is useful to note to prospective members for info about the greatest service organization in the world.
- Leadership Reports and Personal Development Material: www.optimistleaders.org
- This site is for club and district officers. It's password accessed, and each club President and S/T gains access in the same way. Click "Electronic reports and payments," hit the radio button for Pres, S/T, Secretary or Treasurer. Your ID is the club number (27###) and the password is the officer's last name and zip (no spaces.) One can then electronically submit a club roster adjustment form (add/deletes; $15 for adds to follow within 10 days or electronically debited.) Under reports one can check the club roster for current membership, initiation dates, sponsor names, etc. You can also submit the Officer Election Report by 5/20/07, the Annual Activity Report by 10/11/07, President’s Pride report by 9/30/07 and the Activity Award Banner Patch request at this site. These reports are essential for proper club administration and communication. Complete them on-line and send an email notice to the District S/T. The District S/T will be able to verify the required filing.

- At least each week, the OI executive staff in St. Louis will send each President an update on programs, awards, general items of interest and personal development. Please access this site regularly. There is info and enthusiasm to be gained at this site, and enthusiasm is one of your primary prescriptions to dispense at club meeting. It's your leadership tool, along with praise and recognition of your members' contributions.
- Access the site with the following combo: ID is the club number (27###); the password is "LOVE." That will get you (the club President) into your club's mail, at which point one can select the "account options" dialog menu to forward the messages to a personal email (President or Secretary.)
